Inszenierte Reise evokes a cinematic journey that feels still, obsolete, and out of place, through enlarged original slides sourced from the archives of the Film History Museum in Vienna. A fabricated snowy landscape that was originally part of a film set, is now decontextualized and reimagined within the gallery space. Suspended between movement and stasis, fiction and reality, the work turns the journey itself into an image that no longer moves. A journey that only takes place in stillness.
